Covid-19 Guidelines to keeping our customers and our staff safe

We are very excited that we are able to welcome back our customers on 04 July.  We confirm we have complied with the government’s guidance on managing the risk of COVID-19, and in order to keep everyone as safe as possible we need our customers to follow the following procedures:

Regulations state that we can only accommodate 30 people inside the building at any one time.  Similarly the maximum is 30 outside in the Tea Garden.

Therefore when you arrive you may have to queue at busy times e.g. between 12.30 and 1.30 pm and 10.30 to 1.30 pm on Saturday and Sunday

When you enter the building please use the hand sanitizer located near the doorway.

SHOP CUSTOMERS

You may have to queue outside if there are 30 people already on the premises.  If so, please adhere to social distancing measures.

Please use the hand sanitizer located near the doorway when you enter the building.

If you wish to use the shop only, please stay within the shop area and do not stray into the café area.

Please pay for your purchases at the till near the entrance door.

Please note we are only accepting card payments in order to eliminate risks associated with handling cash.

Please follow our one-way system and leave the premises via the Tea Garden and the gate into the car park.

If you have ordered a food collection, please wait in your car and call the shop. One of our staff will deliver your shopping to you and pop it in your car.

TAKE AWAY ONLY

If possible, please telephone your order through to us before collection – 01746 780771

You will need to confirm your name and agree a time of collection with our staff.

If you require groceries from the shop in addition to your take away food and/or drinks please ask for these at the same time.  We will get these for you.

When you arrive to collect your purchases please phone us from the car park and stay in your car if possible.

We will bring your purchases to you and process your payment using the card reader in the car park.

If the café and shop are quiet we will advise you that you can enter the premises to collect your purchases if you wish.  Please use the hand sanitizer located near the doorway upon entering

If you haven’t pre-ordered before arrival you may have to queue outside if the café and shop are busy.  Please adhere to social distancing measure.

Please use the hand sanitizer located near the doorway when you enter the building.

When you have placed your order and paid for your items you will need to wait outside in the car park.

We will bring your purchases out to you.

CAFÉ CUSTOMERS

You may have to queue outside if there are 30 people already on the premises.  If so, please adhere to social distancing measures.

Please note that the maximum number of people in one group cannot exceed 6, and this includes babies and children.

Please use the hand sanitizer located near the doorway upon entering

Firstly, find a table and sit down either in the café or outside in the Tea Garden

When you have chosen your food and/or drinks we require only one member of your party to come to the till and place the order and pay for everyone.

Please note we are only accepting card payments in order to eliminate risks associated with handling cash.

You will find a slip on the table to record your name and contact details and the number of people in your party.  This is required for the government’s Track and Trace measures.  Please bring the completed slip to the counter when you order and put it in the box provided.

This information will be kept securely for 21 days.  If it is not required by the authorities it will be destroyed by fire on the 22nd day.

Please stay at the table for the duration of your visit, only getting up if you need to use the toilet facilities.

All cutlery, napkins and condiments will be on your table.

If you have children in your party, please be aware you are responsible for supervising them at all times and should follow social distancing guidelines.

If you are outside in the Tea Garden and the weather becomes inclement you cannot seek shelter inside the building.  You must return to your vehicle.

At the end of your stay please leave through the Tea Garden area and the gate into the car park.

USING THE TOILETS

If you have to queue to use the toilets, please adhere to social distancing measures.

There is anti-bacterial hand gel and surface wipes in both toilets in addition to liquid hand soap and paper towels.

Please wash your hands when entering the cubicle and again before leaving.

Use the sanitising products liberally, wiping down any surfaces you have come into contact with before leaving the cubicle, including the door handle.

Throw all used towels and wipes into the bins provided.

DO NOT FLUSH THESE DOWN THE TOILETS

Keep the toilet windows open to improve ventilation.

If you notice any problems with the toilets, or sanitising and paper products are running low please alert a member of staff.

GENERALLY, keep your distance from others at all times. Touch as few surfaces as possible.

If you see something that needs our attention please alert us straight away

We are really looking forward to welcoming everyone back, and we want you to enjoy your time with us. If we all adhere to the measures in place, then we will “Stay Safe” – but remember failure to observe these safety measures will result in services not being provided.

And finally, please be patient and thoughtfully with fellow customers and with our staff. This is a strange and challenging time for everyone, and things may take a little longer than normal. Please be assured that we are doing our best to provide you with the best service possible.
